CPC20220 Certificate II in Construction Pathways

Duration and commitment

Certificate II in Construction Pathways is a 10-week course.

Study mode

This is a face-to-face training program held at our training facilities. Training is delivered 9am to 3pm, Monday to Thursday.

Entry requirements

You must be at least 15 years of age (age exemptions may apply for certain birthdates). Applications are through Skill Hire. You’ll need a Unique Student Identifier (USI). To set up your USI, visit www.usi.gov.au.

Learner resources

All learning materials and safety clothing (uniform, hi-vis, glasses and hard hats) will be provided for the duration of the training program.

Steel-toe boots (work boots) are required for participation.

Course fees

The Student tuition fees are indicative only and are subject to change given individual circumstances at enrolment. Additional fees may apply such as resource fees and other fees.

Study pathways

You can further your studies or start your pre-apprenticeship with 58293WA Certificate II in Building and Construction (Pathway – Trades).

You can also start your apprenticeship in CPC30220 Certificate III in Carpentry or CPC33020 Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying.

There are 10 units of competency – 5 core units and 5 elective units to be completed.

• CPCCOM1013 Plan and organise work
• CPCCVE1011 Undertake a basic construction project
• CPCCOM1015 Carry out measurements and calculations
• CPCCWHS2001 Apply WHS requirements, policies and procedures in the construction industry

Elective Units

• CPCCBL2001 Handle and prepare bricklaying and Blocklaying materials
• CPCCBL2002 Use Bricklaying and Blocklaying tools and equipment
• CPCCCA2002 Use carpentry tools and equipment
• CPCCCA2011 Handle carpentry materials
• CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry
