Skill Hire works closely with schools to offer a range of programs designed to help young people explore a skills-based career while still at school.
Try-A-Trade
Led and 100% funded by the Construction Training Fund, these great short programs offer students an opportunity to try a trade on for size. Participants enjoy a fun, interactive and hands-on program designed to give them an understanding of what a trade career might offer whilst they explore a possible specialty.
One Day Construction Program
Students can achieve CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card) through Group School Bookings – learning the basic skills needed to work safely on a work site.
School based apprenticeships and traineeships

Career Taster
The Career Taster Program (CTP) aims to inspire secondary school students to become ‘career curious’ about further study opportunities and potential careers.
